Day 3 June 6

Today we started early by heading to Geysir. Before we got there we were surprised by a volcano crater. We traveled all the way to Geysir where we got heated by a 30 m geyser that erupted every 5-8 minutes. This was the 3 tallest spout in the world.
Then we made our way to Gullfoss á waterfall with lots of power and tourists. It was beautiful but the volume of people made the sight a bit less special. Next we headed north to see the highlands . This was a rough road to the middle of Iceland. We saw our first glacier. The landscape right out of the Lord of the Rings movies. On our way back we took a different route to our hotel in Hella where the hotel was operated through the WiFi. We looked for an office but no office or staff was there. We were texted our room number and code.
Here's to a great day.

Day 2 June 5

We woke to a bright sun that was straight up in the air.  The sun had risen at 3:00. We journeyed to a place called Krýsuvík where the tectonic plates meet. Full of geothermic wonders.
We continued to Reykjavík where we saw the size of whales at the world of whales museum.

Then as a custom when touring Reykjavik we saw the coolest concert hall harpa. This building is an architectural wonder as the hall is covered in glass that are in random in size. Then a visit to the phallogical museum of Reykjavik got us rock hard, I mean quite soft for some penises. We ended the day off by visiting a lava tunnel. Iceland's longest where icicles grew from the ground up.

From there we headed back home to be greeted by the most Slavic Slavs who offered us vodka and played slav bass.

This marked the end of the day for both of us.

Day One June 4

We landed today at KeflavĂk airport. What was remarkable was how flat the land was. Similar to the tundra in northern Manitoba there are puddles and rocks everywhere but not a tree in sight. The makes for a unique landscape.
As we were driving to Grindavik we drove over a old lava flow making the terrian look alien like, similarly to the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan.
